Heiko Bauer

Heiko Bauer is a young designer from Germany and originally from Nuremberg. Now, however, he lives in Düsseldorf, where he works and is currently completing his master’s degree in „New Crafts Object Design“. His focus is mainly on furniture design, which he then puts into scene with his typographic and graphic design skills.

In his work, Bauer places particular emphasis on materials research and sustainability. He explores the question of how to deal with resources nowadays and how to creatively avoid waste. When it comes to choosing materials, there is hardly anything Bauer shies away from – diversity is what characterizes his work. With an almost naïve attitude, he approaches materials in order to reinterpret them and embrace their essence.
