While observing abandoned shopping carts littered around the city being used for trash cans and pedestrian blockades, removing these objects from their original context, raw material with the potential for reuse could be seen.
Making advantage of the existing design and construction of the shopping carts unique experimental pieces of furniture were created. Subsequently, hidden stories from the past are embedded in each piece of furniture. „Discount“ proves the it is possible to elevate even the most unlikely resource with an attitude change and a designer’s perspective.
